Maa Gouri Devi College of Education has run its B.Ed and D.El.Ed programmes from the Dasagram campus since 2015, giving students of Sabang and the surrounding blocks a recognised teacher training option without leaving the district.
Read moreThe Gouri Devi Trust established the college in 2015 to answer a specific, practical need: the district's schools needed trained teachers, and its students needed an accessible place to train. The Dasagram campus was built with that in mind β classrooms, a library, hostel blocks, and open ground under one roof, all reachable within the sub-division.
Today the college runs two NCTE-approved programmes: B.Ed for upper primary and secondary teaching, and D.El.Ed for primary teaching, each following its respective affiliating body's curriculum.
